Peter had to work this weekend and so he was gone most of yesterday. I had spent the day cleaning the house, which I hadn't really done in weeks, and was exhausted by the time Peter got home and dinner time rolled around. I convinced Peter that we should go out to eat since both of us were too tired to make dinner. So we all hopped in the gay mini (yes, I am still calling it that!) with me driving incase Peter got paged and needed to call the hospital. So as I am backing out of the garage I am only paying attention to the passanger side of the car because I want to be sure not to hit the passenger side mirror on the side of the garage. Well, all of the sudden I hear this strange, crunchy scraping sound. At first I just thought it was the tires rubbing against the snow pack on our driveway so I kept backing out. Then within seconds I realize that it's not the tires making the scraping sound, it's the drivers side of the van backing into the passenger side mirror on Peter's car that is parked on the driveway. OOPS! Luckily it didn't do too much damage to either car. The mirror on Peter's car is a little loose but that's it. And the van...well the van has a nice 4-5 foot scratch on the side with a little dent. My first accident, well atleast the first one where it was my fault. Sorry honey! (I highlighted it below by wiping the dirt and salt off with a wet paper towel. It is still hard to see but atleast you get an idea of how long it is and how dirty the car is.)
We also painted our room last weekend and got new bedroom furniture thanks to President Bush and his tax-rebate present. I know it was a bit premature since the rebates aren't suppose to come until May but I will have a new baby in May and no time to paint or spend money.
It is hard to tell in the picture but the walls are a grey-blue color and the furniture is a creamy white. We both think it has a beach house feel to it. It still needs some more decorations. Some pictures and hopefully some new lamps. But atleast we got the major portion of it done before baby comes and turns me into a hermit.
The girls are both getting excited about having a new little sister. Bella is already playing well with baby no name. She will push lightly on my belly three times with her hand and then wait a second and baby will push back. She has been able to play this game with her a couple of times now and is convinced that the baby knows what she is doing and is very smart for her young gestation age.
And for my last little bit I have to tell you who was in our sacrament meeting today at church. Donny Osmond! His nephew is in our ward and was blessing his baby boy today. I was totally star struck when I saw him and since Peter wasn't with me to join in my surprise I found myself looking around the chapel trying to make eye contact with as many people as I could and mouth the words "it's Donny Osmond". Luckily he only stayed for sacrament meeting and didn't come to my sunday school class, that would have been too much.
